Signage has long been an advertising staple and still proves to be one of the most effective and least expensive forms of advertising. This isn’t to say that any sign will do, however, since you can’t just pop up an A-frame by the road, call it a day, and expect customers to start flooding in. 1. Quality Sign Design
One of the most effective ways to make the most of your business’ signs is to make sure that the design is quality. Business sign designs should be easy to understand, be relevant to the business, and be eye catching. Colors combinations should promote readability, and fonts and lettering should also be clear and easy to read. Images should be simple, recognizable, and reflect something about the business.
2. Proper Size and Placement
Another really important way to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your business’ signs is to make sure that the signs are the right size and installed or erected in the right places. An important thing to remember about the initial placement of outdoor business signs is that an inch of letter height is equal to about 10 feet of viewing distance. Think about where people are going to be when they view your signs and make sure the size and placement are correct.

There are a number of different types and styles of signs for businesses, and choosing the right one can mean the difference between an attractive eye catching sign and one that isn’t doing you any good.
